Pledging to Succeed

Daniela Alvarez
Daniela has been a member of the Interactive Measurement Group since Summer 2022. She graduated in Spring 2023 and plans to continue on to graduate school.
Grace Hyde
Grace joined the Interactive Measurement Group in Summer 2022. She graduated in Spring 2023 and will continue her academic career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Michal Newhouse-Van Vlerin
Michal joined the Interactive Measurement Group in 2021. She graduated in Spring 2023 and will continue on to graduate school in Fall 2023 to complete her Master’s in Public Administration.

Teaching Climate Change During Statistics and Research Methods

Climate change has altered weather patterns, leading to heat waves, forest fires, and other disasters. Current and future generations of college students need to mitigate and adapt to this new reality. Instructors of statistics and research methods courses can help their students by teaching them about climate change. Instructors can use our climate change dataset (n=500) and its accompanying 10 statistics assignments.
Design a Good Week

Kim shares three steps for designing a week that is enjoyable, satisfying, and productive and for adapting her schedule to accommodate unexpected events and one-time opportunities.
