Rosalba GomezIssue 17: Spring 2022

Rosalba Gomez was a member of the Interactive Measurement Group for six semesters, from Summer 2020 to Spring 2022. During that time, she learned how to design websites and online studies, learned to analyze data in SPSS, Jamovi, and R, and learned advanced statistical techniques like between-within ANOVA, censored data analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. She used these skills to create three conference posters (two of which she led). In addition, Rosalba was our lab manager for the last year, setting the meeting schedule, chairing lab meetings, and mentoring dozens of lab members as we made the transition from fully online meetings to hybrid. Rosalba has now obtained a full-time Project Coordinator position at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, conducting research on a multi-site randomized clinical trial comparing compassion meditation to relaxation therapy in veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.
