Embracing Limitations
Limitations are a part of our lives, no matter who we are. These limitations may hinder us from doing the things we love and may even force us to rethink our goals and our dreams. I myself have the beginnings of carpel tunnel, thanks to a life of piano lessons, typing, writing, and serving food. I often worry about a day when I might not be able to do the things I love, like writing.
After watching the TedTalk by Phil Hansen, I have been inspired to not fear a limitation but find a way to embrace it. Currently, I am not sure how I can incorporate carpel tunnel into my life in a positive way, but Phil Hansen has given me hope to think outside of the box for a solution. Because of his story, I am excited at the prospect of the opportunities I will discover in the future to embrace my limitation.
Our limitations may prevent us from doing something we love in the conventional method, but there is always another way. It just takes some imagination. A limitation doesn’t have to be a restriction or a wall you can’t climb. It can be the very spring board that liberates you from constraints. You can achieve the goals and dreams you set for yourself, just like Phil Hansen has.
