A smiling woman with long dark hair, crossing her arms over her stomach and wearing a blue and white striped shirt and a navy blazer.April Contreras received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in neuroscience from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in spring 2018. She was an active member of the Interactive Measurement Group for two years. April has found her niche in neuroscience research and is has been researching with the Hines Translational Neuroscience Group since fall 2016, to explore the neurobiological mechanisms involved in neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. She’ll be working with the Hines Group as a neuroscience research technician for a year before pursuing her research interests at the graduate level in fall 2019.
